I'm in a magazine!

This afternoon, I was eating chocolate while reading the I-weekly magazine and my sister (who was flipping through the U-weekly magazine) laughed out all of a sudden and said, "I've just discovered something shocking! Do you know that your face is in the magazine?!". The first thing that I thought of was whether I have been to Orchard Road recently. (there's a part of the magazine that always takes photo of people walking along Orchard Road and then critise or praise their fashion sense) And I thought I'm going to get critised for my fashion sense.

However, when my sister showed me the page she's referring to, I saw a random kid showing her belly, but that's not what my sister wants me to look at, then the picture beside it caught my attention. It has 40 faces on it, and I see my face just at the bottom of the whole thing, it's the photo of 2A 2006!!! This is great! We're on the magazine! Below the photo it says the person who sended it in is CSF, which is pretty obvious who it is and I believe it stands for Chua Shu Fen. I must say I'm quite touched, because she still misses the class after 1 year (I know it's not very long, but...) I think we should thank her for letting us appear on a magazine, it may be a once in a lifetime thing! So I think you should go get a U-weekly (it's the latest one, and get it before next week) and turn the page to page 80 to see our faces on it.

And note that the arrow's directly pointing at me!

Since I have the U-weekly with me, I thought I should take a look at the things in it, and as I flip through the magazine, I saw this.

I think this is one really random singing competition, I'm not sure about their singing, but all of them sure look random (and for most, weird), but I think we can't blame them, because they are from Malaysia.

My Sister's birthday party!

I was looking forward to the party but I had to go for the release of Kspiration event held at the Jurong East Library first. I reached the place and met several of my friends and then we were asked put up some posters and so we decided to finished it quickly then go upstairs to play PSP at some corner in the library. When we came back down, the thing had already started, so we quickly took our seats and listen to the guest give his speech.

The guest, were rather normal when we took our seats but he showed his enthusiasm just moments after we sat down. He's kind of over enthu, but I'm sure he succeed in making his speech interesting, even though I only understood some parts of his speech, like how important chinese/China are and some other things about ASEAN and Korea, Japan and China. After that was performance, there's chinese flute, then some recite poems performance by sec 2s, and singing and guitar performance by Yvonne and Dexter which is good, then some Gu Zhen performance. After that we got our certificate and prizes then we ate some of the food provided(we didn't want to, but our teacher insisted we help eat some, because almost everyone disappeared after the event's over) and then I rushed home for the party.

There were KFC and Rite Pizza and I ate 2 KFC chicken and 2 Pizza with other side orders like springrolls, fries and popcorn chicken and also some of the beautiful cake that my sister ordered. I almost burst after finishing all those. I was so full that I had difficulties sitting/standing straight and my stomach hurt when I yawn. My stomach is poking out of my shirt even until now, so I think I'll go lie down on my sofa now because I'm still having some difficulties sitting straight now. I'll post the pictures taken some other day.

The meeting

I had a NPCC meeting today to plan out some things for the year 2008, and I realise sometimes I don't think before I speak. Near to the end of the meeting today, because the sirs have been in a rather friendly relationship with us the entire day, I sort of forgot that they are actually not exactly our friends (because they do scold us for wrong things we have done and report to our teacher officers). When one of our sirs asked some of my other squadmates to go search for my other friends at the school's basketball court ( the sirs knew they had went off early), to save my other squadmates the trouble, I said," Sir, I think they are at a basketball court that's out of school".

And I think I had accidentally tipped off my sir, and indirectly, my teacher officer. Another incident today that proved that I don't think before I speak is that I actually asked my sir if it's possible for to me to go off early, when some others are rushing to type out the things they had planned. And so the entire squad got scolded for several things.

1. People asking to go off early when others are rushing their work.
2. Did not make full use of our time
3. People who are suppose to help with the typing went to see some linkless websites like handphones and some random japanese style cartoons (I think they deserve the scolding, maybe because I never liked people who like this things)
4. People not stopping their friends from going off early (I saw my Teacher Officer glare at me for a several times)

I do feel bad for actually asking to go off early, so I think next time I'll listen to what my mum said before, "Must be responsible for things that you are suppose to do!". Meanwhile I think I'll stop feeling bad and look forward to my psychotic sister's 21 years old birthday party tomorrow.

Who adjusted the water supply!?

I was about to write a post about one guy from my CCA who loves looking for trouble, but now because of a certain reason, I can't do that anymore. Being kind of irritated that I have nothing to blog about again, my bad day did not end here. When I get home and was about to take a bath, the water heater let out some freaking cold and small amount of water. My mother told me maybe some idiots adjusted the water supply of the flat, hence the little amount of water, but luckily the water became warm after a while.

For the time being, I'm sorry but you will have to wait till I get some topics to blog on.

What did you do that for?!

I'm realised quite a lot of things that people do are quite meaningless, for example, the bunch of people from the nearby church. I said they appear at the field on random sundays in my previous post, but now it's becoming every sunday. And I think they are getter crazier every sunday, because other than playing the same ball throwing game , they also raise their hands and jump around while shouting "wooo!" Maybe some of you will call jumping around as morning exercise, but they did it in the afternoon. I don't know what's wrong with them, but maybe they think they will have a closer relationship with god this way (many christians wish to have a closer relationship with god).

Another thing that is rather meaningless is to suggest linkless solutions to a maths problem. This always happen in my class and it irritates some of us. Here's an example.

Teacher: You can solve this problems by doing...understand?

Random guy: cher! actually you can solve this by using the Physics formula R=V/I right, like...

Teacher: That's stupid.

Random guy: cher! cher! cher! also can solve by the Mole right?

I'm not saying you shouldn't think of other solutions to a problem, but can you think of some solutions that can really be used?

Another meaningless things is to play PSP in school and shout things like "cool!", "nice!" and "shoot!". I don't know what this three guys want, but when I saw them playing PSP after lessons this week, they seems to be rather exciting that they are finally getting a chance to show their PSP in school. One of them were shouting things like "shoot! I missed! shoot! shoot! shoot!" It makes me feel like shooting him instead. Another guy was shouting things like "nice! combo! nice! cool!" What's your problem? Can you not do this in school and irritate others?

I hadn't been hardworking enough?

Maybe because I hadn't work hard enough this year, which cause the drop in my results, and the lack of things for me to blog about, so I decided to start hunting again for things to comment on, but meanwhile I shall talk about things that happened on this week. On Wednesday, I had my chinese 'O' level exam, and I thought it was quite ok, except for the paper 1. The writing letter part was ok, but the compo part had the most boring compo questions I have ever seen in my life, so I had no choice but to write the last question, (which is a newspaper report and you'll have to write about the report) but I'm not very good in that type of compo, so I think I wrote a boring essay. The question was most people's choice, and I doubt anyone can make this type of essay interesting, so I'm wondering how are the teachers going to survive marking so many boring compos.

After the exam, we had lessons everyday and things didn't went very well, on Thursday, my class's maths teacher/mentor made some of my friends and I stand outside the class for being late for lessons, and on friday, because she overslept and was late for 45 minutes, we thought she's not in school and so we went out of school to eat and play some basketball, but when we went back to class, She was in class!!! And our bags were in class!!! As there's only 10 minutes of lesson left, we decided to hide for a while to avoid the possible or most probably scoldings and questionings, so I'm wondering what's going to happen on monday.

Besides trying to imagine what dramatic scenes will take place on monday, I also have something else on my mind. Recently people from the church near my flat will gather and play at the field beside my flat on random sundays. Last sunday I start noticing what games they are playing, and I realise they are simply throwing colourful balls around. And I am wondering if it's really that fun. They throw balls around, and shout things like "wooo!". And they like encouraging one another, I'm not saying it's not good, but do you really need encouragement in a game that only needs you to just throw the ball randomly? Imagine they were saying this.

Leader A: That's a good throw! It knocked that guy off his feet! Now try knocking him unconscious, you can do it! Come on! give it your best shot! you can do it!

Lastly, I thought the Campus Superstar competition is over now and I can finally stop seeing Shawn on TV, but recently he appeared again in the commercial of Mediacorp. Normally my feeling for a contestant change after the competition, like I don't hate them as much after the competition, but now I still feel as disgusted as ever whenever I see the bloody kid and I still feel the urge to throwing something at the TV whenever his face appeared on it. I think he's really too disgusting that I can't change my feeling for him.
