The 2A'06 report

This is a report, so please be very very very serious while reading this. Official judges have made researches and found out that class 2A in 2006, which once won the CFN champions, is forgotten by all the 2A-ians. Researches had shown that everyone in last year's class 2A have changed for the worst and this report shall end with the conclusion that the official judges is very disappointed, and insisting that we are all strangers now and refusing to have a class gathering again and determined that the class of 39 people with strong bonds is gone just like that.

Honestly, I never thought of this problem before. I am sure all of us did not forget about 2A, the girls still stick to one another, the boys still play basketball together all the time. I am sure most of us will be present if there is a class gathering. As for the people who's in love now, well, they have to spend time with their partners. Maybe some of us really changed a lot, but everyone will change one day. We will definitely start adapting to our new class, new friends, but we won't forget 2A. So...are we still having a gathering?

If you don't get what this post is about, please read our class blog.

First week of school after march holidays

Finally the busy week is over. I haven't got the chance to update my blog, due to the amount of homework I had for this week. Some of it are the leftover homework from the march holiday, and I got to know about some of it only when school reopens.

Nothing special in this week, except for the debate during the geography class on thursday. I wasn't involve in the debate as I was absent in the last lesson, so I don't have a group, and so I got the easy job of being a recorder(record down important points in the debate), with three other classmates. Actually I never liked debate, because it shows the "bitchy-ness" of people. One group will always ask another group a hell lot of "hard to answer" questions, and the group will sometimes end up speechless. This actually happened in the geography debate, but I shan't mention names. If you want to see a real-life example, watch "The Arena" that's showing on Channel 5. If I'm one of the contestants(which I will never agree to be), I would have thrown my shoes at the other group.
I realised we are actually surrounded by loads of stupid competitions, one good example is the KFC "make a commercial" competition. Recently KFC have been showing a series of "home-made" KFC commercials, and we are suppose to vote for the best commercial, but honestly, they are irritating me. I know they are not professional commercial creators, but I believe they can be less irritating. I remember one of it is about O.R fillet burger, it shows one lady and one guy dancing and singing with the burger in their hands. I remembered the lady as someone who acted in a Channel 8 show before, but her character in that show was irritating, and the commercial she and her friend made is still as irritating as ever. she always have her finger in a position that looks like a gun and always doing the "yo-yo" thing and the two of them seriously lack teamwork.

Another example is a "mental" competition, which is studies. I heard that my neighbour is having problems with his pure geography subjects and is under lots of stress, which made him develop an extremely bad temper. Maybe it's because I didn't liked him(he was rude, unfriendly, proud, and he has a pussy CCA, which is to play some lame musical instrument, which I heard him playing it before, and which he played horribly), but I think he's stupid. I have heard about his story of completing with his friend in exams, and studying like mad just to win his friends. Now he's having problems with his pure geography, and he just cannot afford to lose to his friends, therefore putting pressure on himself. I seriously think it's stupid to have competitions with our results, which sometimes, some people does in my present class.

On saturday, we had Road Run and Family day. The road run distance was cut down to only 2.6 km, much lesser than the 4.8 km that we sue to do in past years. It's not that I like running, but the annual road run seems to have lost it's purpose after the distances have been cut down. I always got 12 minutes plus for my 2.4 km run, and no exception for today, I got only one point for Kestrel(two points for boys who run below 12 minutes and girls who run under 16 mintues). After that we help out at the game stall for our class, and we went for the NPCC basketball competition at Hua Yi secondary as supporters. We won the first match against Fajar secondary and another random school which I can't remember, but we lost to the Bukit Batok secondary in the semi-finals. After that there was refreshments and we went home after that.
Here's a funny video of a scene in Stephen Chow's show, with he himself and Law Kar Ying in it. Enjoy it!

NPCC NCO camp!!!

It's finally over~ It's not that I hate it, but it was tiring. We are the 11th batch to complete the NCO (Non- Commissioned Officer)camp, which means we will be taking over the Kranji NPCC unit soon. The first day of the camp was kind of tiring...because there was planning of campfire and loads of lectures, and I actually felt like sleeping during the lectures, but I think I might get laptops thrown at me if I fell asleep.

The second day was a really tiring day. In the morning, we had morning PT, When we were given a choice to do 340 of something for our punishment for our ankle socks. We did so many different types of exercises, but actually we should have just done something easier. Then, we had breakfast and a few more lectures before campcraft practical session, when we have a competition between the groups, to set up one tent and one flagstaff. Both the teams didn't make it in time(10 minutes) , and the sirs and mdms promised us something unpleasant, but not nasty, which is given to us in a much later part of the day.

We had a one hour break/lunch, when we are to cook our own lunch, which is instant noodles, with other canned food like baked beans and pineapple. After the lunch, we had lectures (again), and then drill session. Before drill session, we had to change into our uniforms, we were told to have our "own time, own target", but I smell something fishy. After we are done changing, we were scolded for being too slow and we have to change back to our PT kit, and this continued for two more times, which is what they call the changing parade. Actually I expected more number of times of this cycle, I never liked it, but I heard from my sister that they changed for loads more times.

We had drills and then it was time for dinner, when we had packed food, and campfire after that. The campfire was held for the first in a NCO camp, but actually it was kind of...not that successful. We had a skit, loads of cheers and games, but we were told that the guests(ex-NPCC kranjians) were helping us lighten up the atmosphere. After the campfire, I was happy, because I thought that the day was going to end. However, I was shocked when I get to know the next activity, night drills. We were told to change into half-U and take our rifles and fall in outside the NPCC room. We had drills and everyone of us have to teach their groups something. I was given three choices of what to teach, but the first two command was confusing, so I chose the easiest, which is how to fall in and fall out, but I think I taught in a very boring tone, and my teamates might fall asleep if I continue on. As our group took a shorter time, we were given 10 minutes to rest, and I fell asleep on the canteen table, till sir came to wake me up.

It was already 2 am in the morning, but we still have night PT. After we changed into our PT kits, we were taught how to conduct a PT session, and also some exercises. After that we were told to lie face down on the ground, while the sirs poured water onto us. It was the punishment for our campcraft session, actually it made all of us awake, as it was very cold. Finally, we get to bath and sleep, as our night duty was cancelled.

The third day, we had breakfast, area cleaning, and lectures, when Miss Foo gave us our NCO unit T-shirt. After that we were made to drink 2/3 of our 1.5 litres water bottle, before the camp was over. We must thank the Mdms, Sirs and seniors, as they planned the NCO camp for us. I must also thank several squadmates, one girl who out of nowhere admitted her mistakes and made the whole squad did 20 push-ups with her, and squadmates who did so much for the squad in this camp. Actually, there is always a darker side to everything, I heard quite some gossips in this camp, seriously I think there is no need to complete against anyone.

A busy weekend

I have to wake up early on saturday morning to support the Kranji NPCC badminton team going for the NPCC badminton competition(hosted by Nan Hua High Secondary School), made up of Wei Chang, Shun Yu and Chin Seng. We had a lucky pick and we picked Chai Chee Secondary school for our first match. We lost the match, but both teams didn't make it into the next round. Reason being, We took too long. I thought that was a rather weird rule.

I got a chance to wear a Cadet Inspector T-shirt, as sir wanted to exchange T-shirts with me for a while. It was cool, having the words "Cadet Inspector" in front of my chest. The finals was won by St.Andrews secondary school, after two very close game with Evergreen(it reminds me of Geography) Secondary school.

After we got back to school, we played a little badminton in the hall, having got one court from the badminton team, who's having their training in the hall. After that, we saw a captain's ball match going on in the parade square, and it was between NPCC and St.John. We went down to help the NPCC team. This was when I discovered st.john girls can be rather violent. I was trying to get a pass from my teamates when a girl came in front of me, and was trying to block me. I moved to the left, when she realised this, she sort of pushed me backwards with her back, and the same thing happened when I moved to the right. Another time was when I was moving back to defend, I felt some sort of a punch on my back, which I think was made by one of girls who just ran past me, but I believe it's an accident, since st.john members are the one giving first aid to people during events, not hurt people.

I had steamboat for dinner, and played computer at night, as I's sure the next day would be filled by homework. Sorry for not updating for so long, it's really been a weekend full of work.
