There's a commercial that seems rather crappy to me when I saw it on the television recently. I don't know if any of you have seen this commercial about a...card. Yes a card, and the commercial feature Jonathan Leong, the long hair chinese guy from Singapore Idol 2. But all you can see from the commercial is him having fun in some random club and telling you that "He has the card".
The commercial starts with him saying, "I have the card" without any emotion on his face. Then it shows him in a club with a glass of wine in his hand and laughing out loud with a few girls surrounding him.
So what's your point?! I don't understand what the hell is the commercial trying to say, as if people will go sign up for the credit card after seeing the ever so emotionless Jonathan Leong telling you that "he has the card" . Or are they trying to tell us that with the card, girls will come flocking to you? (because Jonathan Leong was laughing out loud with girls in a club just because he told people that "he has the card")
My Version
I was thinking if there's ever a football commercial that aims to promote football, maybe they can find David Beckham (I choose him not because he's the best, but because there's a higher chance of you people knowing him) , then ask him to stay emotionless, and tell you that..."he has the balls". Imagine that! David Backham saying "I have the balls". (Don't think too much ah!)
Alright I guess I better end off my blog post here, before Jonathan Leong saw my blog post and leave a comment on my blog.
Jonathan: What the hell?! I have the card cannot ah?! I have the card ok! So don't you dare criticise me! Who are you to criticise me anyway? I'm a first runner-up in Singapore Idol, I almost got to take part in Asian Idol, I appeared in the first episode of "Don't Forget the Lyrics", I have longer hair than you, and I have the card which you don't have! Alright I'm off to have fun in the clubs, toodles little boy!
P/S: Ok, it's a little linkless, this post, but I have nothing to blog about, so do bear with it.
